A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Working Farm Manager on a diversified family farm based near Horncastle, Lincolnshire. The 650ha Stourton Estate is predominately arable with its own herd of red deer, woodland, and farm diversifications. Stourton has had the good fortune of having only three farm managers over the last 60 years each working from early in their career. If you are looking for a role managing arable operations and are interested in transitioning to a regenerative farming approach, we would love to hear from you!
As well as excellent communication skills you will have experience of operating a fleet of modern farm machinery and working with others to get the job done. Working around problems with a flexible approach and finding alternative ways of doing things is essential.
Working highly autonomously as part of a small team you will have the challenge and responsibility of carrying out all arable operations and many aspects of wider farm management.
Preferably applicants will have a relevant degree as well as the following essential minimum criteria:
• extensive experience of arable operations
• have held a supervisory or management role
• full UK driving licence
• PA1 and 2 and telehandler certificates
Stourton offers a competitive salary (dependent upon your skills and experience), usual benefits, and will give you every support and training you need to achieve these goals and fulfil this key role.
